Entry Requirements
1) Requirements on Citizenship
Non-Chinese citizens who meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education's Document [2020] No. 12, which requires those who emigrated to other countries from the Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan applying to study in ZUST as international students, should meet the following additional requirements: the applicants must hold valid passport or other relevant internationally recognized documents for at least 4 years; meanwhile, in the latest 4 years (by each April 30th of the year of University registration), the applicants must have lived overseas for 2 years (Living overseas for 9 months can be converted to 1 year, which is subject to the exit-entry stamp on visa).
2) General Requirements
Age ≤35;
High school education
or above; Good health; No criminal record;
No history of drug use.
3) No Chinese basis required;
HSK 4 ≥180 can apply to start from the second year.
4) According to the requirements set by the higher higher authorities, starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, all international students applying for undergraduate programs are required to attend CSCA tests.

Currently, I'm studying English and German language and literature at the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University. Teaching ESL students is my current and future occupation. I enjoy working with children of all ages and so I decided to try myself in Chinese. I’ve been studying it for a year and I found it rather challenging. Nevertheless I gained even more motivation to become a good user of this rich language.
As a student I was very determined and diligent. I always had some kind of eagerness to study and so spend many hours practicing and looking for extra information. At the first academic year I organized the debate club for our students that was a great opportunity to develop their communicational skills. During last two years I participated in several All-Crimean and All-Russian conferences and competitions devoted to English language and methods of teaching it. Also I published several research works and abstracts considering linguistics, literature and methodology. Finally I managed to combine my excellent marks with a part-time job as teacher.
What I'm driving at, is that I have a strong desire to learn Chinese and become more aware of this ancient culture. Unfortunately, there is no center in Crimea that would provide the information and activity to those who are interested in them. We have hardly any teacher of this language and no native speakers to practice. So if I would have the possibility to become a proficient teacher, I will do my best to organize such center in our region. As far as I know, the relationships between Russia and China are getting stronger and in nearest future there is expected a big amount of Chinese tourists and workers. Therefore we should be ready to build an efficient communication between our nations.
My sphere of research would be connected with the difference in Chinese way of teaching, the alternative methods and sources of teaching, the understanding of culture and mentality through literary process, as I am strongly interested in it.
Gradually the interest for Chinese is growing bigger and there have to be opportunities to provide the future learners with desired teachers. My aim is to create the space, where those who are eсxited with Chinese would be able to share there knowledge and experience with curious ones and thus spread the passion for this culture.- 8 Years ago

i know Hangzhou has a very good environment and attractions. This university has the course that is compatible with i want. I want to study Chinese language as a major and i want to start as soon as possible. The entry requirements here are within my capacity as well.And i am learning it as a beginner and a foreigner which what this university offers.The fee is affordable for me plus i can try to get scholarship too, and it says in the description, if i am able to pass certain level of the HSK test, i can skip even one or two academic years which is very good. It somehow motivates me to put in more effort to graduate earlier instead of finishing the whole 4 years because I've studied Chinese before for some time.

This major is oriented to those international students with high school graduation certificate or higher degree whose mother tongue is not Chinese. The undergraduate program of Business Chinese major attaches equal importance to knowledge, capabilities and qualities with the core courses of Chinese language course, business course, and course of Chinese society & culture. Courses are tailored to cultivating inter-disciplinary and applied talents as required in modern society with capabilities as follows: Chinese language listening, speaking, reading and writing; being familiar with the basic theory and practice of modern business affairs; knowing well the developments of Chinese culture, contemporary economy and society; being able to make business deals with fluent Chinese language under intercultural background.

If the original certificate is not in English or Chinese, a notarized translation version is also required. Fresh high school graduates shall be issued a pre-graduation certificate by their school, and the original high school graduation certificate must be submitted when students register.
*11. CSCA Test Transcript(s)
