Entry Requirements
1) Requirements on Citizenship
Non-Chinese citizens who meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education's Document [2020] No. 12, which requires those who emigrated to other countries from the Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan applying to study in ZUST as international students, should meet the following additional requirements: the applicants must hold valid passport or other relevant internationally recognized documents for at least 4 years; meanwhile, in the latest 4 years (by each April 30th of the year of University registration), the applicants must have lived overseas for 2 years (Living overseas for 9 months can be converted to 1 year, which is subject to the exit-entry stamp on visa).
2) General Requirements
Age ≤45; Bachelor's Degree or above; Good health;
No criminal record;
No history of drug use.
3) English language proficiency certificate required.

During the course of my Undergraduate program at the Institute of Space & Technology, I found out that the subjects related to Thermal Engineering were my strength. Moreover, my internship at Attock Refinery Limited provided me a thorough insight into the operations and mechanics of a thermal power plant. Both of these experiences have inspired my passion of pursuing specialization in the field of thermal engineering. To pursue this professional goal, I would like to apply to this program at one of the prestigious universities in China, and nourish my professional growth with the guidance from world class professors and mentors. This program will help me in accomplishing my goal of becoming a good industrial researcher. My particular interest is the designing side of the thermal systems as they are challenging and require attention to intricate details. Mechanical Engineering", in Zhejiang University of Science and Technology is a key discipline listed in "Zhejiang Twelfth- five" program, founded at the establishment of the university. In 1990, it is classified as one of the first government-level Sino-German cooperation project.

The subject carries out research relying on Province Key Laboratory of Food logistics, Hangzhou department of National Engineering Research Center for High Efficiency Grinding, two national engineering training center (National Construction Machinery Engineering Training Center and ZUST-APG Mechanism design, manufacturing and automatization training center), the first Zhejiang Key Scientific and Technological Innovation Team of Modern Logistics and Safety Control of Agricultural Products (as one of the lead units), member of Industry-Academy-Research Alliances in Haining (established with t Haining provincial High-tech Zone as a lead unit) and other disciplinary platforms. We have formed distinct characteristics in the areas: modern logistics equipment manufacturing technology and systems integration, manufacturing technology of key parts in special vehicle, electromechanical numerical simulation and basic research system, reverse design and rapid manufacturing.
There are currently 4 secondary subjects and 2 independent secondary subjects: "Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation", "Mechanical and Electrical engineering", "Mechanical design and theory", "Vehicle Engineering", "Energy Equipment and Energy Saving Technology" and "Creative Design and Manufacture".
The main research directions: modern logistics equipment, ultra-precision processing and testing, mold design and manufacturing, intelligent transportation equipment and systems, electro-hydraulic control, automation equipment and systems, institutional innovation design theory and methods, mechanical and electrical equipment design technology, micro-nano systems design theory and methods, vehicle detection and vibration, modern design theory and methods of vehicles, new energy vehicle technology, automotive parts manufacturing automation technology, enhanced heat transfer equipment and low-pollution combustion technology, new energy equipment and technology, non-conventional energy equipment and basic theories research.

If the original certificate is not in English or Chinese, a notarized translation version is also required. Fresh high school graduates shall be issued a pre-graduation certificate by their school, and the original high school graduation certificate must be submitted when students register.
*11. Academic transcripts in high school.
Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English shall be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English; If the original transcript is not in English or Chinese, a notarized translation version is also required.
*12. Two letters of recommendation (with a signature of a professor and the contact information of the professor).

For applicants who are in China: If you are an employee, you still need to provide employment separation certificate and your current residence permit.
